Success Can Be the Result of Other Failures in Making Money Ideas, the Best Home Businesses Gone Awry, and Just Not Starting Your Financial Retirement Planning
Quitting was never an option for me. Whoever came up with “failure is not an option” doesn’t follow what I believe in.
Many success stories started with failures, failure with making money ideas, failure in finding the best home businesses, failure at not following through on financial retirement planning.
Everyone has had failures.
But, quitting, that’s different than failing.
Jeff Olson, author of “The Slight Edge” has a pretty good handle on the difference between the two.
I think I’d have to publish this whole chapter to get the information across, which I can’t do, and which is why you should be reading this book, also.
If I was a quitter, I’d probably have been a suicide case. Now that’s quitting.
Instead, I’ve spent my life failing at one thing or another and then picking myself up, dusting myself off, and trying again.
My newspaper never made a decent salary for me, I sold it.
Now, I have it back. The deal fell through, after two years.
I welcomed it back and have found a way to make it work, with less hours of laboring over it, due to the skills learned the past few months working with my mentors in a new business that I started.
My new business includes tons of training and new friends, and lots of new possibilities. I can now work at two businesses in less hours than the old newspaper took.
You CAN get ahead in this life, and I can help.

Choose the Upper Curve to Succeed With Your Making Money Ideas to Make Sure You Ultimately Have the Best Home Businesses and Get to Your Financial Retirement Planning Goal
The upper curve, the lower curve, your choice. Guess which one is the right one.
The upper curve will see you as one of the 5% who succeed if you do the little things. You will succeed with your making money ideas, which will in turn make sure you have the best home businesses, if that’s what you choose to do, and will get you to your financial retirement planning goal, if you do those little things each day to work toward that.
We are talking about Jeff Olson’s “The Slight Edge”, a book that can give you the edge to succeed in your life just by doing small things each and every day on whatever goals you have for your life.
Many times in my life, the lower curve has been my choice. There are just so many things to do if you have the energy. Go out with friends, goof around, party. Woo Hoo! Fun!
Fun is good, but if that’s what you live for, it’s time for a reality check.
I had my partying years, and blamed my habits on the fact that alcohol relieved my depression for a short while.
Everything changed for me with the “Decade of the Brain”, the eighties, when Prozac was the wonder pill.
I never took Prozac, but I did get into counseling, which was not an option if I used alcohol, just a thing with my counselor. Not a problem. Like I said, alcohol was my crutch until something better came along to help with my blue moods.
It took from 1990 until 2003 for the right medication to be on the market for my particular type of depression. I had never lost hope that someday I would feel “normal” and be able to feel good all day, most every day.
But, there are challenges, too, that our author talks about. Other people resist the changes you might be embracing. He likens it to gravity, and he is right. Others will try to pull you down.
The lower curve that I took, I have to take responsibility for. Sure, I could blame depression, or maybe my friends for my previous life, but I don’t. It’s part of choosing the upper curve.
Today is as good a day as any to start doing the little things to get your life going in the direction of an upper curve.
Please, get Jeff’s book and see what other details you are missing out on.
I hope you’ll read the other articles I have written and more of these videos as they are produced to learn how you can get your “…Slight Edge”.

Financial Retirement Planning Starts With Just One Tiny Effort, as Do the Best Home Businesses When Using Making Money Ideas
For those of you who missed the first few articles, we are going over Jeff Olson’s book, “The Slight Edge”.
My purpose here is to try to get you to start working on your making money ideas and becoming one of the best home businesses and getting that financial retirement planning going.
In the first few chapters we learned that:
…“Your philosophy creates your attitudes, actions and results, which in turn creates your life.”
…The simple things that you do every day make the difference.
…That results happen over time.
If you have been reading along and did not get that information from what I’ve said, get a copy of Jeff’s book.
If you just started, get Jeff’s book to get the most out of what I am saying.
Here’s some new stuff:
Start your beginning, just one small step. And do that over and over, make it habit, ingrained in every day’s tasks until you don’t even have to think about it. That’s the author’s message here in chapter four.
The beginning for me was not signing up to work with an incredible bunch of smart, hardworking entrepreneurs who wanted to help me, yes, little old me, get a better life.
I didn’t do much at first, just kind of floundered, there was so much to do and learn that it overwhelmed me.
One of those entrepreneurs recognized this and pitched in and helped me and a few others who were struggling.
That was my beginning. She demanded that we do something every day. Then after a few weeks we all were pretty much entrenched in the habits, the next thing to come, was that we could see some of our work heading up the numbers to page one of Google.
What’s so great about that? It’s not just the little ego boost of seeing your name up there, but the fact that the numbers of other people who see your name and decide you are worth knowing and maybe even following.
When will you begin? Sooner than later is better, if you haven’t yet begun.
I hope you’ll read the articles I have written and more of these videos as they are produced to learn how you can get your “…Slight Edge”.
You CAN get ahead in this life, and I can help.

Trust and Faith in Your Making Money Ideas for Your Best Home Businesses and Financial Retirement Planning Goals Pay Off In Time
What are your financial retirement planning goals?
“Many Americans save little—or nothing—for retirement,” says the Health and Retirement Study of the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, which administers and conducts the survey.
“Low income,” was cited as the most common problem to saving money.
A subset was asked of participants was asked if they would save a hypothetical windfall. Although about 70% said they would save it, but the study says that there is little evidence that suggests that people would change their ways and save the money.
Baby boomers begins to turn age 65 in 2011. Not only baby boomers, but the next generations have also copped the attitude of skipping the “cultivating” phase of Plant, cultivate, harvest, that Jeff Olson talks about in his book, “The Slight Edge”.
I am a baby boomer, although at the youngest end of the spectrum. I always thought that I was the exception to the people of the world that have their financial retirement planning in order.
I joined with a group that is helping me get on track for becoming successful with my goals.
This is what my mentors have done for me this past few months:
They have helped me learn the cultivating of my goals…the daily little things to do that produce results over time, in my case, five weeks (so far) of doing the little actions each day brings me just that much closer to my goal of earning more than hourly wages, over time.
No immediate feedback, except knowing that we have weekly assignments to report on.
The feedback, in the form of income, comes a little later. No I’m not rich yet. That’s not my point.
Now that I am reading Jeff Olson’s book “The Slight Edge”, I know where some of my mentors knowledge may come from.
I’ve learned from his book, in just the first three chapters:
You always have a choice.
The faith that your choice will produce results later is what will keep you doing the little things.
Live in the moment and each moment make the right choices.
Follow along with me and, get your own copy of the book, you will understand more when you read his whole story.
And, do something else. Put your name and email in the form on this page. Find out more about the leaders that are giving me “The Slight Edge”.
You can get ahead in this world, I can show you how.
Even the very best making money ideas in the best home businesses won’t help you with your financial retirement planning if the money isn’t coming in
Are you ready for retirement?
Many of us nearing that age are not.
“The percentage of Americans who aren’t ready to retire… 70%!”, according to The Motley Fool, which provides premium investing advice and market-beating stock research
“Dipping into reserves to fund the next stage of your life may not feel great when cash flow is a concern. But it’s often necessary”, says Lauren Young, a Personal Business editor for “BusinessWeek” in it’s November 13, 2009 issue.
Just jumping into a business of your own is not the end-all, though. You need to do your research and make sure you can do the things to succeed in all areas of your life.
Doing simple things is the basis of success, according to one author.
“The Slight Edge”, his philosophy is what he says that the 95% of us that are not successful in our life goals need.
“Most of us aren’t making it” says Jeff Olson in his book “The Slight Edge”.
We just aren’t doing the right small things.
You can learn more about his philosophy in the days ahead, as I read and try to interpret some of his ideas to you.
I would advise you to purchase his book in addition, and comment on my writing, too. We will both be better off.
If you are interested in the business that I am succeeding in, enter your first name and email address on this page and we will send you more information via email. Good information, not just a bid for your business.
